J - I only wish I had lavished my children with as much positive energy and love as blessed McShorty receives from you and Mr. Tall

From Yael Naim to Abba to Bangles, I enjoy your Life.

Pacifist's Comment: I pray every American would read Halberstam's "The Best and The Brightest." As both an Army and Air Force veteran, drafted to contribute to the slaughters of 3.5 million little "Gooks" who bore us no ill will, wanted nothing but independence from France, I have to admit to ambivalence re. Veteran's Day. Most of our wars have more to do with National Offense than Defense. To quote the recently-expired giant, Studs Terkel (The Good War), "Reason is not Treason." My highest respect is for those who say NO to military service when (USA) commits to unjust wars...a decision that is the Constitutional right of every American to make at every blood-soaked interval throughout history.
