So I'm reading Three Cups of Tea. Have you read it? I'd love to hear what you think. I am enjoying the book, but have mixed feelings. I'm about a third of the way through. I'm not completely sure what I'm not loving about this much raved about book. Maybe it's the technical climbing/hiking language. Maybe it's just the way the author's writing style.
It seems to seesaw tenses between the author's view and the main character's words. I think what I'm wishing is that Greg Mortenson had just worked with the other author (can't think of his name) to write the book in only his first person view. I don't know. I'm committed to getting to the end of this book (I waited long enough on the library wait list to get it). It must have something amazing coming. It's a great adventure story so far, I just don't love the writing style.
On a different note, go visit S. Krishna's Books to enter a giveaway for the book, A Page Out of Life. Just click here and then leave a comment on her post. It's just that easy.
Have a wonderful day. Shorty and I are off to the library for some more summer fun as well to the post office to mail off another book for Bookmooch!!! Did you go check it out yet? GO!

Hmmm...I want to read Three Cups of Tea, but looking at your review, I'm not so sure. I tend to not like book that are raved about for some reason, they turn out to be disappointing
i'm w/ you on the mixed feelings about this book. it got so many rave reviews that i thought it would blow me away...i found it "interesting" at best! i guess if you focus on how much positive change this one person caused, and less on the writing, it is pretty amazing. but still...
